Yields: 12-14 laddoos
Core Spice and flavoring-
1/2 tsp ground cardamom powder
1/2 cup Whole wheat flour
1/2 cup Semolina
3 tbs Flax seed
10-12 raw almonds ground
4 tbs almond butter
3 tbs oil
5-6 tbs brown sugar
Dry roast the whole wheat, and semolina separately until they are slightly darker in color. Keep stirring while roasting on medium heat and then set aside.
Roast the flax seed for 30 seconds on medium heat and turn off the flame.
Combine the three cereals and add the brown sugar and ground almonds.
Heat the oil in a non stick pan and throw in the prepared dry mix stiring vigorously until the oil blends in.
Stir in the almond butter and cook for 20 seconds on medium heat.
Add in the cardamom powder and turn off the flame.
Let the mixture cool slightly.
Once it is luke warm, divide the dough and form small balls. The laddoos are now ready to be eaten. I use crunchy almond butter but you are welcome to use the creamy almond butter if you don't like small crunchy pieces of almond in your laddoos.
