Core Spices and Flavorings -
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tsp coriander powder
salt and pepper to taste
Other Ingredients -
1 tbs butter
1 tbs flour
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup cooked broccoli cut into tiny pieces
1 cup cooked pasta (I used Elbows)
1 tbs flaxseed
1/2 cup shredded cheese (American and/or Cheddar)
Melt butter in a pan
Add flour and cook for 2 minutes on low medium heat, stirring throughout.
Remove from heat and gradually add milk, mixing continuously until well blended.
Return to low medium heat and cook slowly, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Remove from heat and add salt, pepper and lemon juice, turmeric and coriander.
Add in the brocolli, pasta, flaxseed and half the cheese and mix into sauce.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese on the top and serve warm.
